Life=Light

John 1:4

4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

 
 

In v. 4, John is teaching us how to read his Gospel. This is what we learn:

· The Word is a “Him.” (See v. 3, too.)
· In Him is “Life.”
· And that Life is also “Light.”

So, for the rest of the Gospel, when we read life we should think light, and vice versa.
